Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki was an American political adviser who was the 34th White House press Secretary between 2021 to 2022. As a member of the Democratic Party she has previously been a part of the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House assistant director of communications (2009–2011) and the spokesperson of the United States Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki was an CNN political contributor between 2017 until 2020. Psaki's career started in 2001 when she began working in the reelection campaign of Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democratic candidate running for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was then appointed deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential election campaign. Psaki was the director of communications for Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and as the regional press secretary for Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications, serving as press secretary to President Obama's 2012 reelection campaign. [20] Psaki was named spokesperson for the United States Department of State in February 2013. There was speculation Psaki was to replace Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary, at the Department of State.[21] But Josh Earnest replaced Carney on May 30 the 30th of May, 2014. She was recalled to the White House as Communications Director in 2015 and stayed until the end.
